Welcome to the Cartwright Family
homepage!
Greetings friends and family! After a long
hiatus, we have finally updated our website. As many of you know, it
has been quite a busy year for the Cartwright family. We moved back to
Austin in February, after finding a house and neighborhood that we love.
We spent a few months renovating the house and now truly feel settled
and “home.” Matt is still with United Road, but now works from home and
travels to Detroit and other areas as needed. Kate is walking
(running), climbing, talking, belly-laughing, and letting her
personality shine through more and more each day. She loves music,
dancing, play-doh, baby-dolls, blowing bubbles, and eating any kind of
fruit. She is still not sure about being in the car or finger-painting,
and downright hates when snack-time is over. She has grown into a
curious and sweet-natured little girl and I am so blessed to be her
mom. Take a look at her first birthday party and some other summer
pictures to see what she is up to and how she has changed.
After what felt like
endless preparation, I took my boards in August and am still breathing
sighs of relief! Matt and I celebrated my freedom from studying and his
much-deserved vacation time with a trip to Costa Rica. We repelled down
waterfalls in a rainforest, saw a volcano erupt, and came face-to-face
with several white-faced monkeys, in addition to relaxing and seeing
quite a bit of the country. Our pictures are posted if you would like
to take a look.
Oliver is enjoying his
bigger backyard and warmer climate. He spends most days sunbathing on
the deck between dips in the pool and tolerating Kate’s pokes, prods,
and pulls.
